Position Description

STAFF ENGINEER – POWER SIMULATION


JOB OVERVIEW:
Plan, organize, and implement design and development projects for the production and maintenance of new and established machine models.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
· Initiate and implement efforts to detect, solve and preclude the recurrence of technical design problems.
· Pursue efforts to reduce expenditures for excess works cost and engineering contingencies.
· Organize and implement technical data bank and design standards.
· Provide technical assistance to other departments, including developing technical specifications for sales quotations, assisting manufacturing groups in development of processing methods and procedures, and aiding Technical Service in customer informational response, planning, and executing field work.
· Advise and assist with administrative matters pertaining to assigned responsibilities. These include manpower requirements, training of new personnel, recommending the hiring, promotion, relocation or separation of department personnel, and participating in the formulation of annual engineering programs.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
· Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering. PhD preferred.
· Minimum of 10 years of design, analysis, testing and supervisory experience in heavy machinery products specific to hydraulic analysis.
· Experience with Matlab and Simulink is required.
· Engineering planning and management capabilities.
