Our Georgia-Pacific Green Bay Packerland facility is searching for a Reliability Technician Mechanical maintenance helper to work an 8-hour Day shift in our Maintenance department. This is an hourly position requiring an understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and precision maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes. This role will be considered a steppingstone for an individual to learn all aspects of maintenance and build toward an electrical/mechanical Reliability Technician role. The successful applicant will support the Green Bay Packerland Facility's maintenance efforts and strive to further a reliability vision of creating an environment where equipment operates as designed, runs predictably, and never fails.

Our Team

This position creates value for the site by supporting our Maintenance department and maintaining our building/equipment and ensuring our PBM philosophy.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for performing vacuum flush and associated tasks on napkin assets when needed.
  • Assist in pit stop blowdowns/clean-ups on all converting assets.
  • Support maintenance day-to-day operations in addition to pit stop activity.
  • Perform minor maintenance and preventative maintenance inspections in all areas of the facility.
  • Assist others with repairs to equipment as scheduled.
  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participate in the safety program.
  • Support the Green Bay Packerland facility's maintenance efforts and strive to further a reliability vision of creating an environment where equipment operates as designed, runs predictably, and never fails.
  • Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling.
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization via reports, email, verbally, and/or in small/large groups or team environment.
  • Use comprehension reading skills with ability to understand and carry out complex written instructions.
  • Use basic hand tools and learn to use precision maintenance techniques.
  • Learn and build toward being an electrically qualified technician.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience completing basic mechanical repairs
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Previous maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools)
  • Advanced technical or college training
